Confusion
Right now, to be honest, I'm confused. I'm trying really hard to get it, but it doesn't seem to be clicking. I think we are in the middle of a lesson right now. I don't really know. Anyway, I'm confused and hope to understand this better very soon!

Motion maps
Motion maps are very confusing. I still haven't totally grasped the whole thing yet. This is going to be pretty short because we haven't fully discussed the motion maps. When we ended class we were talking about the difference between displacement and distance. I hope we continue talking about this because I still don't understand the difference.

In class we had a white board disscussion about question #1(position and time graph) We had one problem with this graph: what was the slope? Some people said velocity others speed. We came to the conclusion that the slope was the rate at which the cyclist were traveling.
We also discussed Question #2(position and time graph). This one we didn't come into any problems. However there was one interesting question. How does the motion of the cyclist A in the new graph compare to that of A in the previous graph? We answered this by saying in the first graph cyclist A traveled away from the reference point. In the second graph, A traveled toward the reference point.
In conclusion, this class was very informative. This helped me further understand position and time graphs.

Estimation
In class we talked about estimation. At first I was a little confused. Then I started asking questions, and trying really hard to grasp what was being talked about. When I did this I understood what to do. Not completely. But I understood. There is still different things I need to work on, but I'm getting this lessons main idea for the most part.

In class we discussed the different labs. At some points I understood things. At other points I did understand things. Why didn't I ask questions? I was so confused I didn't know what to ask. People went from the relationship of the slope to something else instantly.
We also learned how to convert metric units. This was very simple. I understood this very well. I learned this many different times. I got confused when the mega meters or whatever it's called came up. I guess I will learn about it on Monday!

In class, we discussed problems 11 and 12. To be totally honest I was confused. When I came in class I had an idea of what was going on. Then when we discussed problem 12, I was lost. People didn't look at other peoples perspectives. They said what they felt and that is all. Everyone wanted to get their say in, which is ok, but this is where I became confused. Someone would write an equation, and everyone would agree with it. Then, someone would go write a different equation, and everyone agreed with that. We also moved to fast. We would talk about one thing, then within a minute switch topics. Another thing is, we got off topic a lot. We didn't focus on the question asked. Which was how did we solve the equation.

In class we talked about circle lab #1. This lab was very informative. We learned many things. One of this things is that the slope was pi. Discussing the lab in class helped me to understand what the lab was about. Working in groups was very helpful. I got to see different perspectives of what the lab was about. All in all, this was a very fun and informative lab.
